Monthly Call

We’ve just concluded a really informative TA Monthly call with two seasoned legal professionals from Spain, answering members’ questions and covering various aspects of relocation to this amazing Plan B country.

Joining us on the call was the founder of Balcells Group, a highly reputable Spanish law firm founded in 1976, as well as a tax specialist from the same firm.

To date, they have successfully processed more than 10,000 residency applications. This year alone, they’ve already facilitated over 120 Golden Visa applications, assisting clients from the US, UK, Latin America and the Middle East – so pretty much from all around the world.

(Please note that we take no commissions or referral fees from the providers that we interview on these calls; we feature these service providers solely for your benefit.)

Spain has so much going for it:

For starters, it offers an amazing climate, a rich culture, sumptuous cuisine and a relatively low cost of living…  And in addition, it boasts an array of residency programs, including the Non-lucrative Residency and the Golden Visa program…

Hence it’s easy to understand why expats love Spain so much.

And yes, there is the issue of hefty taxation to keep in mind, but there are also ways and structures to mitigate this.

Our guests on the call today – Cristian Balcells and Jaime Nateras – answered a number of questions that our members submitted to us ahead of the call.

They covered the various residency programs, including the upcoming Digital Visa, slated to launch next year. They expounded on the differences between the currently available Non-Lucrative Residency program and the incoming DNV, and outlined the beneficial taxation that DNV holders will be eligible for.

In addition, Cristian and Jaime answered members’ questions on Spanish naturalization requirements, tax residency requirements, the Beckham Law, and much more.

This was a great opportunity to learn more about why Spain could be a solid Plan B option.

We’ve also recorded the call for those of you who were not able to join in live.

You can access the call recording here.

The slide deck from the Balcells Group presentation is also available here.

P.S. We have recently released a very comprehensive TA-only Quarterly Report on Spain, and we encourage you to check it out here if you haven’t done so already.
