The lockdowns demonstrated that you can’t always just click a button, or drive to a store, and buy what you want. The adage that grocery stores are only three days away from empty shelves turned out to be more or less true.

That’s why it’s critical to consider a food resilience Plan B.

Participating in your own physical survival is akin to participating in your financial survival.

I like to have direct control of my food “investments”, if you will, just as I like to direct most of my financial investments. I trust me. I like having no middleman. And I want to make sure my bases are covered.

A lot of people didn’t have their bases covered this past March and April. Not being able to purchase food on a whim was a jarring experience for them.

That’s why, just as we recommend you keep some gold, silver and cash on hand for when times get tough, we are recommending that you take some steps to create a food insurance policy as well.

If you can grow a small garden on your balcony or in your yard, that’s excellent.

But you might be looking to acquire more space. Many people are leaving cities to flee the lockdowns and riots. This will allow them to take even more control of their food… by homesteading.
